For Life science our teacher is Andrea Tehan-Carnes. We are learning about cells and physical body health. Since we are learning about cells we had to learn how to use microscopes and the history of microscopes and this is a 5 question test. This test helped me understand why we have microscopes and what we use them for.
The skill that I improved most on is memory. I had to memorize vocabulary and use the definitions to describe the words. What I have to work on is my pronuciation because sometimes I say the words incorrectly.

This second page is a homework assignment when discovering cells through unit one.
The work in this program I am most proud of so far this year is my notes and study guides. These notes are from our ecology unit, this is a page of vocabulary definitions. I am proud of this work because these are the notes that help me study for my tests and quizzes.
My second piece is my science quiz, which was a review of our terms.
I am proud of my second piece because I did really well and I can now tell the difference between a habitat and a niche.

Overall in this course the skill I feel I improved most on is remembering my vocabulary.
A challenge I have that I need to do more work on is spelling, there are some of those long scientific terms that I sometimes misspell.
The material I worked hardest on this year so far is studying for our tests.
The material I feel I learned the best was all of the terms about ecology and reproduction
If I could change the past, I would have done nothing differently, I like this class as is.
Some of my most effective learning this year has come from
participating in discussion , note-taking, reviewing my notes and reflecting on my understanding, working on problems independently
And working on problems in groups.
